Once I was asked "What is music to me?" The simple answer would be "Life", but it goes so much deeper than that. If life is a question, then my open book answer would be music. I mean sometimes I'm not sure if it's just the bass from the sub-woofer, or my heart beating trying to drown out my thoughts that seem to float on top of everything, almost where the sopranos sit. Really all I've been asking for is harmony, but I seem to keep missing the chord that leads to it. Feeling as if I'm always thinking of a girl I've never met, to jump into unison with me; but I guess the intervals are throwing everything off. All I can really do is hope the composer allows me to conduct this orchestra at one point in time, so until then I'll just read these notes and make adjustments, pitch a couple of rhythms and prepare.
